Live Food


We stock crickets, feeder fish, mealworms (regular, giant, super), mice (pinkies, fuzzies, hoppers, adults), nightcrawlers, rats, and wax worms. If you would like us to prepare a large order of live food for you in advance, please call us at (562) 425-5131. For waxworm orders, please call us by noon Mondays and Thursdays to receive the freshest possible worms on Tuesday or Friday (these guys are highly perishable).

Rescue cats are handled by the Friends of Long Beach Animals. Cats are typically spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adopter will receive rescue/health records.

An application and approval is required to adopt cats.

Adoption fee: $64.99 plus tax

Our rescue rabbits come to us through the hard work of Judy Griffith, the Rodent Whisperer. The buns are typically spayed/neutered and microchipped. Adopter will receive rescue/health records.

An application and approval is required to adopt rabbits.

Adoption fee: $34.99 plus tax

 

We carry mice and rats with the main intent to use as live food, though they make excellent loving pets, too.

 

 

Animal Return Policy


We assume that you have the basic essential knowledge for the care of any animal purchased at the Paw Shoppe. If you need more information, please call us at (562) 425-5131.

To ensure the health of the animals in the store, please note our return policy:

Animals returned within 24 hours of being sold will be accepted and a full refund given.
Animals returned after 24 hours will be accepted without refund, if there is room to house the animal. The animal must be in good health.
We cannot guarantee disposition or how the animal will get along with others, including you.

We do our best to keep a sanitary and disease-free environment. Please notify us immediately if you notice any sign of illness in an animal. Thank you.
